THE WILD ANGEL FROM SURABAYA ZOO: CHANDRIKA'S STORY

THERE IS GREAT SORROW INSIDE THIS ZOO... I CANNOT PUT INTO WORDS THE AMOUNT OF TRAGEDY WE HAVE SEEN IN THE LAST FEW DAYS WITH NUMEROUS ANIMALS. - Sybelle, Cee4life

Chandrika, the white Bengal tigress: What it’s like to walk free?

Every animal in Surabaya zoo has his sorrows but the true agony of Chandrika was hidden from the public. From August last year, this magnificent big cat became sick and didn't want to eat. Three months ago, in severe pain and despair, she bit off her tongue. During the last days CHANDRIKA HAD LOST HER MIND WITH PAIN.

Drool pours from Chandrika's mouth, she gasps air in rapid quick breaths, with pneumonia from the damp dungeon.

The white pieces hanging off her tongue are actually nerve fibers. Veterinarians confirmed that Chandrika had sustained an infection on her left shoulder, that developed into a weeping tumor, which she constantly licked. This infection was passed then into her tongue, where she ENDURED EXCRUCIATING PAIN UNTIL SHE BIT HER TONGUE OFF.
For the last tree months of her life CHANDRIKA SAT IN DARK CAGE AND RECEIVED NO MEDICATION.
Finally, her heart shuts down and she died on February 6. To be free again...

VIDEO: THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPENED TO CHANDRIKA

The Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rishnahari ignored Cee4life pleas to help Chandrika!

WHY, WHY, WHY?

105 ANIMAL DEATHS IN SURABAYA ZOO SINCE JULY 2013! Thise deaths included 18-month-old African lion who died in January after getting its head caught in its cage, and a young mountain goat, discovered dead with bruises on its neck. While Cee4life team was inside Surabaya Zoo, the pregnant deer in a terrible state came through, and it's been confirmed that was poisoned. Earlier in the month, an endangered Komodo dragon life was ended. Also, Cee4life team found the turtle with plastic bag in its throat. They tried to get a keeper but was too late. Two days ago another deer was found dead at the Surabaya zoo.

We need a miracle to open the heart of those who have the power to say YES for aid to these animals.

Meet Angeli: Her eyes tells the same sad story...

SAMPLE LETTER
I am writing to encourage the Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rishaharini, and Indonesia’s Surabaya Zoo to accept the professional assistance that has been offered to help improve the lives of  long-suffering animals.
Despite new management, the zoo animals have once again been exposed to inadequate care and neglect. In fact, just a week after the death of rare Bengal tigress Chandrika, one deer was found dead. Other recently deaths included 18-month-old African lion who died in January after getting its head caught in its cage, and a young mountain goat, discovered dead with bruises on its neck. Earlier in the month, an endangered Komodo dragon life was ended.

It has come to the point that all neglect and diseases are causing multiple deaths, yet still nothing of substance is being done to allow professional aid to these animals.
I am respectfully requesting to do everything in your power to intervene and allow the implementation of professional medical treatment into Surabaya Zoo!

Although it’s too late for many animals, you can still make the compassionate decision to save hundreds more lives.

I look forward to a positive response.
